Community development oversees planning and zoning, economic development and business, license, housing, nuisance complaints, and building permits.
The department also reviews proposed projects and ensures construction work and licensed business activities meet or exceed basic standards.
Alert! We have recently been made aware of several fraudulent invoices issued to applicants that indicate they are from the City of Excelsior.
Please note:
1) The City of Excelsior will never request a wire transfer from an applicant.
2) City Commissions do not issue invoices.
3) If you receive an invoice that appears to be from the City, and you have questions, please call us to verify that it is legitimate. 952-474-5233.
