[ARCHIVED] Excelsior Service Line Material Inventory

Excelsior has completed and submitted our service line materials inventory to the Minnesota Department of Health. The service line inventory is publicly available, and you can check the materials for your service line by visiting the Lead Inventory Tracking Tool (LITT) at https://maps.umn.edu/LSL/ you may also contact us at the contact information below. To complete the service line inventory our system completed historical documentation review, conducted public engagement efforts, and preformed free in-home inspections. As of 10/18/2024, our inventory contains 1 lead, 22 galvanized requiring replacement, 385 unknown material, and 312 non-lead service lines.

The city is asking residents and businesses to identify their water service line material and report it using a reporting tool.

Navigate to the Instructions for Self-Test tab for a how-to guide.

If a property has a galvanized or lead service line, the city will use that information to pursue grant funding to potentially reduce the cost of replacement. The Minnesota Department of Health has guidance and helpful information on what to do if you have a lead or galvanized water service line.
