Park and Recreation Commission — The Park and Recreation Commission consists of seven residents of the City appointed by the City Council. This advisory commission has the primary responsibility of reporting and advising the Council on park and recreational matters, developing immediate and long-range plans for the park and recreational needs of the residents of the City and enhancing the City’s parks through evaluation, planning, and initiating new programs and ideas. This Commission meets at 6:15 p.m. on the second Tuesday each month.

Planning Commission — The Planning Commission consists of seven residents of the City appointed by the City Council. This advisory commission has the primary responsibility for planning and zoning matters, as they relate to the overall general welfare and development of the community. They review and provide recommendations to the City Council on such items as: redevelopment proposals, rezoning, planned unit developments, subdivisions, conditional use permits, variances, and design reviews. This Commission meets at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Monday of each month.
